THE QUALITY OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES DOES NOT SATISFY MORE THAN HALF OF CLIENTS. INCREASING THE QUALITY AND REDUCING COSTS OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES: UTOPIA OR REALITY?

In Bumaq we believe that is reality.

Approximately one year ago, IFMA Italy published a survey aimed at analyzing the expectations of italian facilities managers.

We feel it is appropriate to bring this analysis back to the prominence as we believe that the data collected and analyzed by IFMA Italy is today more than ever confirmed and with a growing trend.

Last year, IFMA Italy analyzed a sample of 93 companies by interviewing their facilities managers, property managers, asset managers and real estate managers.

Among the many interesting data collected by IFMA Italy, we think the most significant is that more than half of the companies, that purchase facilities management services, have claimed that facilities management providers are unable to meet their demand and expectations.

Among the main reasons that lead professionals interviewed by IFMA (facilities managers, property managers, asset managers, real managers summer) to those conclusions are the following shortcomings by their suppliers: poor management capacity, poor service, lack of proactivity, poor technical skills, lack of partnership, low priority for small to medium-sized clients.

From our point of view, we believe that: a qualitative increase in facilities management service planning, a new methodology for scheduling activities and a timely precise and rigorous field control, will contribute dramatically to reduce the number of unsatisfied clients by increasing the quality levels of both, soft and hard, services, reducing, at the same time, the cost of facilities management services.
